Dental braces are orthodontic treatment that are used to correct or straighten misaligned teeth to achieve a healthy and confident smile. Straight teeth not only make your face look more symmetrical but are also easier to keep clean, which in turn lowers your risk for cavities and gum disease. They also help your jaw work efficiently so you can avoid jaw joint and muscle problems.

There are various types of braces in the market such as:
In this section, we discuss Metal Braces in detail.
Metal braces are among the most widely accepted form of braces in Singapore. This value-for-money option is great for adding colour and zest to your smile while having dental braces!
They are comfortable and convenient and are suitable for everyone, young and old!
These stainless steel brackets are bonded to your teeth with a special dental adhesive. A thin archwire is then fitted into the bracket slot, and is held in place by an elastomeric rubber band or module.
These modules are available in a vast number of colours, making it possible to personalize the appearance of your braces. Once attached, the archwires and modules apply gentle but constant pressure on your teeth, moving them to their proper alignment. Each follow-up appointment will involve changing or adjustment of the archwires and modules to gradually align your teeth. This is also commonly known as ‘tightening of braces’.
People usually associate braces with teenagers. While it is true that there is a higher proportion of teenage patients, we are also seeing a rapidly growing number of adult patients. Regardless of age, as long as your teeth and gums are healthy, you will be suitable for braces.
